![]() Now they were used as a central computer and storage for factories around the planet. Robots were doing all the work, and with how much resources were now laying around everywhere, building robots was a child's play.Ĭores weren't scrapped. They of course weren't on the planet physically. ![]() The crux decided to stay to use now uncover by war and toxic spores valuable resources. But while sharded left completely for a long time. Spores rapidly were spreading all over planet, killing millions of people. That one act of carelessness started a massacre known as the seeding event. ![]() When the attack happened, several culpulators broke containment releasing the spores into the air. They only knew that the facility contained really toxic bio-weapon. They didn't know about the rapid reproductive abilities of spores. The attack was probably performed by crux. It was probably a terrorist attack, probably with the use of explosives as seen by the damage on the front side of the building. Cores were invented as a new way of war strategy.Īnd then the biomass synthesis facility was hit. A war began, the planet was devastated more and more with each day. Majority of people went to the revolution (crux) side, while the others formed the sharded. They were contained and tested in a newly built complex, named biomass syntesic facility.Īround this time a revolution began. Later the spores were invented, the game doesnt tell us if the spores were created on Serpulo, were the beforehand in some form of sleep, or were dropped on Serpulo in a meteorite of some sort, but we can speculate that they were designed as a bio-weapon. As Serpulo cannot be post apocalyptic earth, as it's too small).Īfter basic colonisation, when first outposts were created (thorium complex, wind islands complex and so on, basically the ruins of buildings we see). Shitton of time ago the planet was earth like (based upon the fact that you can plant trees and bushes in the editor, that means that the planet was probably colonised by humans. And the seeding event? I think I might know how to explain this. It looks like there was a war for 5 decades and blasted with nukes. Crawlers no longer fail to automatically detonate on Cores.I think the most interesting mystery in mindustry is what the hell happened on Serpulo. Crawler AI buffed, no longer detonates on low-value blocks such as Conveyors. Nova and Flare are better T1s to use and T2s are not that hard to get in the early-game. They also cannot move through a completely walled base and any cheap fodder blocks such as Junctions can force them to detonate, especially with Polys that can rebuild fodder blocks. The very short range also allows turrets that can quickly take down Crawlers such as Arcs to destroy them. While Crawlers can be threatening in large amounts, the unit cap does not allow for so many Crawlers. A Gamma has enough HP to take out three crawlers at a time. Another strategy is to fly your core ship into the crawlers repeatedly before they reach your base. Junctions are the cheapest counter to them, as they can trigger Crawlers to fire. Seal off any entry with walls as to not let crawlers navigate into vulnerable buildings. The simplest way to counter these is to just tank them in small amounts. However, they are dangerous as they have the highest DPS for all Tier 1 units and come with massive amounts of shields to ensure they successfully detonate on your defences. Crawlers often come in large groups in waves due to their lack of permanency.
